The S Appearance Package adds a lot of visual drama with specific 18-inch wheels and a black-accented grille, fog lamp bezels and headlights.

The Uconnect system works well, but the screen is small and the technology is dated. The lack of a backup camera option is inexcusable.

Most competitors have a more spacious backseat; taller passengers will need more legroom to be comfortable.

Fixed head restraints and a lack of legroom made the 200’s backseat inhospitable to child-safety seats.

Trunk space was adequate on my trip, but again, most competitors offer more room.
