The problem: The key may not be able to be removed from the ignition and the shifter will not move out of Park. This could be due to the shifter knob not being installed correctly, maladjustment of the ignition key interlock cable or a maladjusted stop lamp switch.
Corrective action: Dealers will apply whichever repair, replacement or adjustment is necessary to correct the condition.
Warranty info: This service is being performed free of charge under Nissan’s new-car or extended warranty, whichever applies.
