The problem: The engine may run roughly and display a lit check-engine light on the dash. This may be due to a foreign piece of material getting stuck in the engine’s oil pump, resulting in a low and rough idle.
Corrective action: Dealers will replace the engine’s oil pump.
Warranty info: This service is being performed free of charge under Mazda’s powertrain-limited, California emissions or extended warranty, whichever applies.
