2010-2012 Subaru Torque Converter Issue

The problem: A squeaking noise while starting the engine may be due to a faulty ring gear on the torque converter.
Vehicles affected by service bulletin:
- 2010 Subaru Legacy
- 2011 Subaru Legacy
- 2012 Subaru Legacy
- 2010 Subaru Outback
- 2011 Subaru Outback
- 2012 Subaru Outback
Corrective action: Dealers will replace the torque converter on affected vehicles.
Warranty info: This service is being performed free of charge under Subaru’s new-car, extended or powertrain warranty, whichever applies.
