Hand-crafted interiors aren’t the norm even when talking about luxury SUVs, but that’s just what we’re getting with the 2007 Cadillac SRX. The SUV features a revised interior that uses both traditional manufacturing and coverings made by hand. There’s also a hidden storage bin on the passenger side behind the wood trim. Click below at the link to see it in action.
We’re also impressed by the new center console, which is a tremendous upgrade over the last generation’s bulky buttons and unappealing layout.
V-8 equipped models will also feature a new six-speed automatic transmission for the first time.
Like the Volvo XC90 we mentioned earlier, Cadillac is also introducing a “Sport” trim for the SRX. It will feature different front and rear body treatments as well as optional 18- and 20-inch — yes, 20 — wheels. The new 2007 SRX arrives at dealerships this August.
