Applies to vehicles sold or currently registered in places where road salt is heavily used during winter months: Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Alaska.
The problem: Kia believes application of additional anti-corrosion protection to some under-body components will be beneficial to vehicle longevity, especially on vehicles that are driven a lot.
Corrective action: Dealers will apply anti-corrosion protection to undercarriage areas on all affected vehicles.
Warranty info: This repair is being done free of charge under this voluntary service campaign.
