168,000 Toyota Tundra, Tundra Hybrid Trucks Recalled for Fire Risk
Toyota’s latest recall involves its Tundra and Tundra hybrid pickup trucks. Approximately 168,000 vehicles are affected by an issue that could lead to a fuel leak and fire.

Affected vehicles include certain model-year 2022-23 Tundra and Tundra hybrid trucks. The issue involves a fuel tube that may rub against a brake line and cause a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
To resolve the issue, dealers will replace the fuel tube and add additional clamps to the vehicle for free. However, the replacement parts for the recall aren’t available yet, so as a temporary fix, dealers will install protective materials and a clamp on the fuel tube. Toyota will begin notifying affected owners of the issue by early October, but those with questions in the meantime can contact Toyota at 800-331-4331, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
