Back in the mid-1980s when Hyundai first introduced itself to the U.S. car market with the Excel, people pronounced the South Korean automaker’s names all sorts of different ways: Hy-un-dae, Hy-un-die, Hon-die and every variation in between. And while this Korean variation on the word “modernity” is actually pronounced “hyeondae” in its native tongue, there’s only one correct pronunciation in America, according to the company, with a super-cute mnemonic device to help you remember what — some three-and-a-half decades later — you may already know by now: “Hyundai like Sunday.”

Check out Nos. 3 and 9, respectively. How ’bout a think piece on why the stick shift is headed the way of the woolly mammoth, or maybe an instructional video for teaching your teen to row their own gears? Try Nos. 6 and 10. We even were the bearers of Stick Shift Day-adjacent bad tidings, reporting the very next day that Honda was putting its manual Accord down for a dirt nap; you can pay your respects at No. 2.
