Improved 2025 Audi E-Tron GT Carries a Hefty Premium — or Not

It may not look like it from the outside, but the 2025 Audi E-Tron GT is a significant upgrade over the 2024 model where it counts: underneath. Its electric motors are lighter and more powerful; the battery pack is more energy-dense and likewise lighter; and the cooling system is improved to aid in faster charging.
Audi is asking buyers to pay for the improvements, though. The entry-level 2025 S E-Tron GT is priced from $126,795, an increase of almost $19,000 from the 2024 model’s starting point (all prices include destination fee). That is, however, also nearly $22,000 less than the high-output 2024 RS variant.
Powertrain Specs and Range
Now known as the S E-Tron GT, the base version has a combined 670 horsepower, 33 more than 2024’s RS. That comes courtesy of two electric motors, one powering each axle, providing for all-wheel drive. Audi says the S can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 152 mph.
In the more potent RS E-Tron GT, the motors produce a combined 912 hp. That’s a whopping 275 hp more than last year’s RS but still 107 less than can be had in the E-Tron GT’s platform mate, the Porsche Taycan. Audi expects the RS to hit 60 mph from a standstill in just 2.4 seconds and limits top speed to 155 mph.
With battery capacity growing from 93 kilowatt-hours in the 2024 model to 105 kWh, the S has an EPA-rated range up to 300 miles; Audi says the RS is rated at 278 miles (official EPA figures for the RS are not yet available). For 2024, both the base and RS E-Trons were rated at 249 miles. Not only is the range increased this year, but the improved battery-cooling circuits allow the electric hatchback to charge faster, too; Audi says the 2025 models can replenish their packs from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes on a DC fast charger.
