- EX-L: $36,350 ($340)
- Sport: $36,000 ($600)
- Sport-L: $39,000 ($600)

Optional exterior paint colors add an extra $455 and include Platinum White Pearl, Still Night Pearl, Urban Gray Pearl and Radiant Red Metallic.
Powertrain Specs and MPG
The LX, EX and EX-L get power from a 190-horsepower, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 179 pounds-feet of torque; it’s mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission. The hybrid-only Sport, Sport-L and Sport Touring trims have a combined output of 204 hp and 247 pounds-feet of torque from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors. Gasoline versions are rated to tow 1,500 pounds, while the hybrids have a 1,000-pound towing capacity.
Gas-powered CR-Vs are EPA-rated for 28/34/30 mpg city/highway/combined with FWD and 26/31/28 mpg with AWD. The hybrids get 43/36/40 mpg with FWD and 40/34/37 mpg with AWD.
Tech Features
As with 2024’s model, the LX, EX and Sport trim levels use a 7-inch touchscreen display with wired smartphone integration, and the rest of the lineup comes with wireless charging and a 9-inch display that includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability and satellite radio. All trims have a USB-A port in the front, and all but the base LX have USB-C ports front and rear. The top Sport Touring trim has a standard navigation system, Wi-Fi hot spot capability and Bose premium audio.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The 2025 CR-V comes standard with the Honda Sensing bundle of safety and driver-assistance features. It includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed following, lane departure steering assist, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian and bicyclist detection. Only trim levels above the base LX get a standard blind spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
The Honda CR-V was last tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for model-year 2024. It earned the Top Safety Pick award with top ratings in most crashworthiness tests, along with top ratings for headlights and seat belt reminders. Its automatic front crash prevention system earned an acceptable rating in both pedestrian and vehicle-to-vehicle tests.
In our Car Seat Check of the 2024 model, the CR-V earned an A grade for its accessible lower Latch anchors. Rear-facing car seats earned a B grade, however, because of legroom issues for the front passenger.
Should You Buy a 2024 or 2025 Honda CR-V?
A 2024 CR-V will get you virtually the same vehicle for less money than a 2025 model. Overall, the CR-V does a lot well, from its maneuverability and its composed ride to its ample standard safety systems and strong fuel economy. It’s no surprise that it’s among the most popular compact SUVs on the market.
