The rollout of the Blazer EV is a big moment for Chevrolet. The company has ambitious plans for its electrified future, and the Blazer EV’s diverse lineup will offer an entry-level front-wheel-drive variant, a sport-oriented rear-wheel-drive option and the high-performance all-wheel-drive SS. Today, Chevrolet announced updated pricing and timelines for the all-electric SUV’s lineup.

Working Middle-Out

The 2024 Blazer EV will be available in LT, RS and SS trims that offer different balances of comfort and performance, with battery packs offering ranges up to 320 miles, according to GM’s estimates. Chevrolet has not yet announced the output of the individual motors or the capacity of the Blazer’s battery packs, only saying that the dual-motor AWD SS will produce a total of 557 horsepower and 648 pounds-feet of torque.

First out the gate will be the mid-level AWD RS variant, which Chevrolet estimates will be good for 279 miles on a full charge (the 2LT AWD gets the same rating). Starting at $60,215 (all pricing includes the destination charge), the RS AWD has an 11-inch digital gauge cluster, a 17.7-inch central touchscreen, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, rain-sensing windshield wipers with a heated wiper park, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, a rear camera mirror and a 360-degree parking camera. RS models wear gloss-black exterior trim, a unique grille and badging, and 21-inch wheels.

The AWD 2LT and RWD RS will start production this fall. For $56,715, the 2LT AWD will forgo the exterior embellishments and some of the RS’s interior equipment. Its sparser accommodations still feature the two screens, heated front seats and steering wheel, heated side mirrors, a power liftgate, wireless phone charging, adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree parking camera. The RWD RS will be the range champion, with a GM-estimated 320 miles of range. Despite only packing a single motor, it will be priced at $61,790. For the extra chuck, buyers will receive a Bose audio system.

The FWD RS and 2LT trims will follow in 2024. Chevrolet is withholding details on those models until closer to their launch, although it is saying it expects more than 290 miles out of the FWD 2LT. The SS variant, which was originally said to be available late this summer, has had its production pushed back to next year.
