The 2023 Mini Clubman four-door compact hatchback is entering the new model year with minor updates and an all-new Untold Edition that, like the Resolute and Untamed Editions elsewhere in Mini’s lineup, is an appearance package.

The Untold Edition is available on all Clubman variants and comes with Sage Green Metallic paint that’s contrasted with stripes down the hood and roof, as well as piano-black and brass accents. The variant’s 18-inch wheels get a two-tone finish and a special spoke design. Inside, the Untold Edition gets matching green accents, custom door sill trim and illuminated accent strips.

Otherwise, updates focus on shuffling equipment and colors. The multitone roof option has now been extended to Clubman models equipped with either the Signature or Iconic trims, and it’s available in red, white or blue. Additionally, the Driver Assistance Package has been modified to include a head-up display and park assist, but it loses adaptive cruise control; the feature has been relegated to a stand-alone option, as is the spare tire.

The base powerplant is a 189-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, and stepping up to the John Cooper Works trim gets buyers a 301-hp, turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on front-wheel-drive Cooper S models, but adding optional all-wheel drive switches it out for a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The John Cooper Works model gets an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD.
