CARS.COM —Nissan rolled out at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show the 2017 Sentra NISMO, a more capable version of its 2017 Sentra SR Turbo with which it shares its 188-horsepower, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. It also shares a six-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmission, but Nissan says the CVT has special tuning by Nissan’s NISMO performance group.
The spicier NISMO version of the Sentra compact sedan and Sentra SR Turbo gets a more aggressive front end with black grille, as well as its own side and rear lower body panels, spoiler and 18-inch wheels. In addition to the CVT tuning, there is sportier NISMO suspension tuning as well.
