2017 Jaguar XE Review: Photo Gallery

CARS.COM — Jaguar’s XE sedan was introduced in 2016 as a 2017 model, and we found it to be particularly fun to drive and a worthy rival to its German and American counterparts. With that in mind, we were excited to see how it fared against its competitors in head-to-head testing for our 2017 Luxury Sports Sedan Challenge.

For this test, we had a 2017 XE 25t Prestige model. Painted in Polaris White, the Jag sits on 18-inch wheels wrapped in standard all-season rubber. Power comes from a turbocharged four-cylinder producing 240 horsepower and 251 pounds-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends that power to the rear wheels of our tester, although the XE is also available with all-wheel drive.

Inside, options included the Technology Package, which gave us a 10.2-inch touchscreen for the multimedia system, and a premium Meridian stereo system. Our tester also had an optional heated front windshield, which proved especially useful in Georgia in May.

Did the Jag have enough to take the luxury sports sedan crown, or was it outmatched by its German rivals? Stay tuned for the results of our Challenge to find out. In the meantime, check out the gallery above.
