Key Points

  • The 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer will start more than $20,000 cheaper than the 2025 model.
  • No longer a stand-alone sub-brand, the Grand Wagoneer is officially a Jeep now.
  • A range-extended electric vehicle will join the lineup late in the model year.

Jeep has been struggling with the positioning of its Grand Wagoneer since relaunching the full-size, seven- or eight-passenger SUV alongside the less luxurious, just-plain Wagoneer for the model year. The 2025 model brought an influx of luxury features and tech alongside a $7,000 drop in price, and now for 2026, Jeep has abandoned the marketing exercise wherein it was peddling the three-row SUV as some sort of sub-brand, finally badging it as a Jeep.

Jeep has also given the Grand Wagoneer a new nose, installed a less powerful standard engine (but made a potent range-extended electric vehicle powertrain available), made four-wheel drive optional on the entry-level trim and dropped the base price by more than $20,000.

Release Date and Pricing

Each of the 2026 Grand Wagoneer’s three trim levels is available in standard- and long-wheelbase forms; the long-wheelbase L version is $3,000 more expensive for each trim level. The lineup will have a rolling launch. Initially, the base Grand Wagoneer, Limited Altitude and Summit Obsidian trims will be available; other trim packages, such as the Upland and Summit Reserve, will have late availability. 4WD is a $3,000 option on the base trim level and included on the Limited Altitude and Summit Obsidian.

Full line pricing, including a $2,595 destination charge, is as follows:

  • Grand Wagoneer: $64,740
  • Limited Altitude: $73,735
  • Summit Obsidian: $95,985

Trim Levels

As a competitor to luxury SUVs such as the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator, as well as German and Japanese imports, the 2026 Grand Wagoneer is generously equipped even in entry-level form. Standard equipment includes keyless entry and starting, remote start, 18-inch wheels, LED exterior lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers and a hands-free power liftgate. Its cabin is upholstered in perforated leather and features 12-way power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, a heated steering wheel with a power tilt/telescoping column, second-row captain’s chairs (a bench is optional on all three trim levels) and three-zone automatic climate control. Standard tech includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with navigation, wireless phone charging and a nine-speaker Alpine sound system.

The mid-level Limited trim rides on 20-inch wheels and gains upgraded Nappa leather, heated second-row seats and access to more available options.

At the top of the Grand Wagoneer lineup, the Summit rides on 22-inch wheels and a Quadra-Lift air suspension that is capable of varying ride height by up to 3.6 inches. It also features a contrasting black roof with a three-panel panoramic moonroof, 24-way front seats, four-zone automatic climate control, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a head-up display and a 19-speaker McIntosh audio system.

Standard safety technologies on the Grand Wagoneer include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, front and rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitors and lane departure steering assist. A 360-degree camera system and automated parking are optional on the base and Limited and standard on the Summit.

The L version of each trim level has 7 additional inches between the axles and is a foot longer overall. This doesn’t net any increase in passenger room in the second or third rows of seating, however, but it does increase cargo capacity from 27.9 cubic feet behind the third row to 42.6 in the L version, according to Jeep’s measurements.

Powertrain Specs and MPG

As it was for 2025, the standard engine in the 2026 Grand Wagoneer is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. But instead of the high-output version of that engine, it’s now the standard tune, which makes 420 horsepower and 468 pounds-feet of torque. That’s routed through an eight-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. 4WD was standard for 2025 but is now optional on the base trim level and standard on the Limited Altitude and Summit Obsidian.

Instead of the high-output version of that engine (at least for the time being), the Grand Wagoneer’s optional powertrain is the REEV setup. Like a regular EV, the REEV setup powers the SUV with two electric motors drawing juice from a large battery pack. In this case, though, the Grand Wagoneer can charge its own battery on the go with a 3.6-liter V-6, eliminating range anxiety — so long as there is gas in the tank, there is charge in the battery. This is different from a plug-in hybrid in that the gas engine never directly powers the wheels; it serves only to generate electricity to keep the battery charged.

Jeep says the REEV powertrain generates a combined 647 hp and 620 pounds-feet, enough to accelerate the big SUV from 0-60 mph in just 5 seconds. Battery capacity is the same 92-kilowatt-hours as the Ram 1500 REV, which uses the same powertrain. The Grand Wagoneer REEV’s electric range will likely land somewhere around that truck’s 145 miles before the V-6 generator kicks on to keep the battery charged.
