2025 Cadillac Optiq: Caddy’s Smallest EV Priced From $54,390

With the upcoming Vistiq three-row SUV and new Optiq, Cadillac’s electric vehicle lineup now has an analogue for every gas-powered SUV in its fleet. Their sizes don’t align directly, but the small, medium and large Optiq, Lyriq and Vistiq are roughly equivalent to the XT4, XT5 and XT6. (Only the Escalade IQ can approximate the gas-powered Escalade.) With EVs still being a premium proposition, however, even the littlest all-electric Cadillac, the Optiq, costs more than a base XT6: The brand has announced the 2025 Optiq will start at $54,390 (all prices include $1,495 destination fee).

Powertrain Specs and Range
For now, the Optiq is only available with a single powertrain configuration: two electric motors, one driving each axle, providing all-wheel drive and a total output of 300 horsepower and 354 pounds-feet of torque. With an 85-kilowatt-hour battery, range is an estimated 302 miles, per Cadillac (official EPA figures are not yet available). Cadillac says the Optiq can add up to 79 miles of range in around 10 minutes on a DC fast charger, and depending on the system, 24 to 55 miles per hour on a 240-volt Level 2 setup like most owners install in their homes. Bidirectional charging is standard on the Optiq.
Availability and Pricing
The 2025 Cadillac Optiq is on sale now. Pricing is as follows:

Safety Features and Trim Levels
GM’s hands-free Super Cruise semi-autonomous highway driving tech is standard on every 2025 Optiq, which also means the vehicle enjoys a suite of supporting systems and capabilities. Forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind spot steering assist, rear cross-traffic alert with pedestrian detection, reverse automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, a driver-attention monitor, rear-seat monitor and road-sign recognition are all standard. Every Optiq also includes Buckle to Drive (which prevents drivers from shifting out of Park until their seat belt is buckled) and Teen Driver (which allows parents to restrict or disable certain systems when a specific fob is used to start the car).
The only differences between the Luxury and Sport trim levels are the latters’ dark-chrome exterior trim and two-tone black and polished wheels instead of the Luxury trims’ pearl-nickel rims. The Luxury 1 and Sport 1 ride on 20-inch wheels and feature LED headlights and taillights, an illuminated grille, a fixed panoramic glass roof, power liftgate, windshield-wiper de-icers, and keyless entry and start. Upholstered in synthetic leather, they also get heated power-adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel, driver-seat memory settings and dual-zone automatic climate control. Cadillac’s curved-glass 33-inch display functions as both an instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen and features Google Built-In; the Optiq also comes with a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system and wireless phone charging.
Stepping up to either the Luxury 2 or Sport 2 trim nets an identical roster of equipment with the same visual distinctions as the lower trims. Additions include upgraded LED exterior lighting with welcome and departure choreography, a hands-free power liftgate, perforated and quilted seat inserts, ventilated front seats with lumbar massage, heated outboard rear seats, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera system and a head-up display.
